FAITH HAPPENS BOOKS

ONE OF THE MOST UNDER-TAUGHT AND MISUNDERSTOOD DOCTRINES IN BIBLE PROPHECY

Just released – a 28-minute TV interview with Kevin Clarkson on Prophecy in the News.

Romans 8:18, I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”

I was privileged to be with Kevin Clarkson to discuss the new book just released by Faith Happens Books, The Revealing:  Unlocking Hidden Truths on the Glorification of God’s Children.  Here is a summary of the opening minutes of the interview…

KEVIN AND I BEGIN by discussing the context for the believer’s glorification.  We set the stage by asserting “Heaven is NOT our reward.”  In effect, we have a very limited view of “what comes next.”  We anticipate we will literally “rest on our laurels”.

Could there be more work to do after the rapture?  Could the glorified Church have a mission back on the earth AFTER it has been raptured, and BEFORE Jesus visibly, physically returns to the world?

Glory is misunderstood.  Earthly glory and biblical glory are very different.  What the Bible means by God’s glory amounts to a “weighty” manifestation – it is substantial.

We are excited by having a glorified body.  But our inheritance is more than an eternal, immortal body.  We are to inherit the glory of God.  Jesus freely shares His glory and His throne with His followers.  The “head” and the “body” are united at the rapture/resurrection.  And we know that the Son of God appears in Glory during the Great Tribulation, sometimes in ways that we are unfamiliar.  But will the body of Christ be included in this manifested glory?  We think that it will.

Adam and Eve lived in a glorified state and their bodies gleamed in a form of glory.  But is this the same glory that we will inherit at our resurrection?  We believe it exceeds this glory.  Paul uses a phrase that amounts to “exceedingly beyond exceptional.”

Next, we talk about sanctification and how the two are connected.  We sense we possess an inheritance, but we haven’t yet been given notice that the funds are fully available to us.  Nevertheless, that sanctification is underway.

The subject of holiness was foremost in the minds of our grandparents and the “old timers” 100 years ago.  It isn’t at the center of discourse and isn’t a vital concern for believers today.  But our glorification is connected to the effectiveness of our developing in holiness.

These are only a few of the topics we discuss in the first 10 minutes or so.  I hope you have the opportunity to listen to the interview.  There will be another 28-minute interview next week which I will share as well.

Blessings to everyone!  Have a wonderful weekend.
